Getting that walnut out of it's shell is WORK. It would probably be easier if I just bought a pair of crackers, but where's the fun in that? Besides, I'm not to sure if these will become a regular staple in my diet. Anywho, here they are peeled
I brought 1/4 of a cup of peeled walnuts and a cup of fresh pineapple for my morning snack. Should be down right delicious. I'm making an effort to add in snacks that work with my body to burn up fat instead of processed snack foods, like popcorn or prepackaged 100 calorie snacks, which I do love eating. All part of sticking to those Paleo dieting principles. I'm just not ready to fully submerse myself in that world yet. Clean eating baby steps peeps.
When I first started this journey I basically new jack squat about nutrition and strictly adhered to a reduced calorie diet, translates to "chemical shit storm" for all the clean eaters out there, and a weekly exercise routine. The more weight I've lost, the more stubborn the pounds have become, forcing me to educate myself in order to reach goal weight. Today right now, it feels like trying to reach the lost city of Atlantis would be an easier goal to accomplish. None the less, the quest continues! Yesterday almonds, today walnuts, tomorrow who knows! What I can tell you is this chick ain't giving up her popcorn. No way Jose!
